Another massive earthquake hit Nepal today, this time the epicenter was near Mount Everest. It’s so sad because the people of Nepal are still recovering from the 7.8-magnitude earthquake just two weeks ago that had killed thousands and wrecked Nepal to an unimaginable degree. Samaritan’s Purse filmed this short to tell the stories of the survivors and shows ways in which we can help out.

Second Amendment enthusiasts are adding a new front to their right-to-bear-arms battle: Knives. In particular, the infamous switchblade, which has been banned by federal law since 1958. Why all the fuss? Well, it all dates back to racism, xenophobia, class warfare, and political theater. Sound familiar? It’s no coincidence this was the knife Freddie Gray was arrested for.

And then imagining the stories the walls could tell and then thinking about the people who walked through the halls and then having to convince yourself that ghosts aren’t real sure makes your spine melt a little bit.

The US House Just Voted to Stop the NSA’s Bulk Data Collection

As key provisions of the Patriot Act are about to expire in June, Congress is in a big hurry to figure out how to reform surveillance. The House just overwhelmingly voted in favor of the USA Freedom Act, a bill that’ll limit the NSA’s bulk data collection.
