Woman Who Took Down Confederate Flag: ‘I Refused To Be Ruled By Fear’

Black activist Bree Newsome says she refuses to be ruled by fear.

Newsome’s intolerance to racial injustice and the horrific shooting that killed nine black lives are among the several reasons she said fueled her to take action. Saturday, Newsome climbed the flagpole outside of the South Carolina statehouse and removed the Confederate battle flag.

Aston Martin’s New Supercar Is Stunning

Even James Bond isn’t posh enough for this.

Luxury automaker Aston Martin has released new photos of its stunning Vulcan supercar, which was announced earlier this year. The track-only vehicle is almost entirely constructed of carbon fiber and packs a whopping 800-horsepower V12 engine so powerful owners are offered an “extensive and detailed program of intensive track driver training,” Wired reported back in February.

VPNs may not protect your information as well as you think

VPNs (virtual private networks) are a popular choice for sidestepping censorship and geographic restrictions on services like Netflix with more than 20 percent of Europeans using them. However, researchers at the Queen Mary, University of London recently examined 14 of the region’s most popular VPN providers and found nearly all of them leaked information about their users to some degree.
