Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman may have just declared war on the Islamic State.
An unverified report sourced to CartelBlog.com (so take it with a grain of salt) says that the escaped drug lord sent an encrypted email to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi in response to the terrorist organization destroying cartel drug shipments to the Middle East.
As you might guess, El Chapo was pissed. Here’s what that email, which was supposedly leaked to a cartel-connected blogger, allegedly said:
You [ISIS] are not soldiers. You are nothing but lowly pussies. Your god cannot save you from the true terror that my men will levy at you if you continue to impact my operation.
My men will destroy you. The world is not yours to dictate. I pity the next son of a whore that tries to interfere with the business of the Sinaloa Cartel. I will have their heart and tongue torn from them.
Keep in mind, if this email is real, it’s probably not just some empty threat. Guzman’s Sinaloa Cartel has been connected to crimes just as horrendous as those committed by ISIS, including mass killings and beheadings. Some experts even say ISIS is copying the Mexican drug cartels to a T.
Guzman has been evading capture since he escaped from a Mexican prison via a tunnel over the summer.
