We have accused Manu Ginobili of flopping on several occasions over the years, but there’s absolutely no doubt that he did not flop on a play late in the fourth quarter against the Pelicans last night. The Spursguard got kneed in the groin by Ryan Anderson and had to be helped by Tim Duncan back into the locker room. It looked painful—and it waspainful if the outcome of the injury is any indication.
According to the Spurs, Ginobili had to undergo testicular surgery after the game and will miss about a month as a result of it. The team didn’t release many details, but really, what more do you need to know? The need for surgery should tell you just how much pain Ginobili must have been in last night.
