MARTIN SCORSESE AND LEONARDO DICAPRIO TEAM UP AGAIN TO BRING ANOTHER GRIPPING TRUE CRIME TALE TO THE SCREEN

It looks like Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are a winning combination when it comes to crime fiction and—for that matter—true crime. Wolf of Wall Street was a giant hit, and news the pair were working on bringing Devil in the White City to the big screen had many anxious to see what they’d do with the story of America’s first serial killer.

Variety is reporting they are getting together to produce another film based on a true story of mass murder. This one is based on the book, Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI.

Killers of the Flower Moon is the story of the 1920s murders on the Osage Indian Reservation in Oklahoma, when the violent deaths of dozens of prosperous members of the tribe were under investigation by the still brand-new FBI.

While Scorsese hasn’t indicated that Devil in the White City is on the shelf for now, it looks like the dramatization of Killers will take precedence, as production designer Dante Ferretti told Variety that the director wants to tackle this story of race, betrayal, and homicide after he completes filming on The Irishman.

So whatever Scorsese (and DiCaprio) do next, it’s clearly going to involve murder—and that’s something this director does well.
