Meguru Yamaguchi is the New York City-based artist best known for his sculptural paintings portraying unruly brushstrokes. Meguru recently launched two concurrent solo exhibitions in Tokyo under the singular title, “Listen to the Solitude.” For both shows, the artist displays a selection of new three-dimensional pieces that are inspired by the “dynamics of solar prominence,” meditative states and the flow of energy inside the human body. “The main theme of this entire show is the flow of the energy that is channeled inside me, onto this earth and universally,” said the artist to HYPEBEAST.

Candyman becomes the 1st film directed by a Black woman to debut at No. 1 at the box office

The new horror sequel Candyman debuted at the top of the box office this weekend with more than $20 million, and its director, Nia DaCosta, made history in the process. DaCosta, according to IndieWire and Deadline, has become the first Black female director to ever have a film open at number one at the domestic box office.
China Imposes New Rule Limiting Children’s Online Gaming to Three Hours a Week
China is cracking down on the amount of time children can play online video games.
Bloomberg reports China’s National Press and Publication Administration on Monday imposed new rules that restrict kids and teens under 18 to one hour of gaming from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The new regulation arrives nearly two years after a previous restriction was implemented in 2019, limiting online gaming to 1.5 hours per day.
