Crescere in Latin translates to “to grow,” and with the revolutionary design by U.S. based designer J. David Weiss brings forward greener technologies and aims at a yacht going green, albeit with many styles. The superyacht imbibes the persona of a modern-day luxury vessel while having a fresher, greener outlook.
Taking a page from Kevin McCallister’s playbook in Home Alone, a landlord in Tokyo has developed a novel way for residents who live alone to feel safer. A tiny projector makes it appear as if there’s another person in the apartment from the outside by faking a moving, shadowed silhouette on a window curtain.
Alternative fuel cars are rarely pulse pounding thrill rides, but NanoFlowcell might have created an exception to the rule. It’s teasing the Quant 48Volt, a supercar concept that runs on a combination of positive and negative electrolyte fluids. No, this doesn’t mean that you can run it on energy drinks, but it does promise an environmentally friendly vehicle that doesn’t compromise on performance or range. Reportedly, the Quant 48Volt’s 760HP engine can take it to 62MPH in 2.4 seconds, hit a top speed of 186MPH (arbitrarily limited) and a range of over 621 miles.
Panasonic has shown off a transparent TV before, but the company has since improved the image quality to the extent that the idea of a television built into your furniture’s glass panes is not only possible — it’s right here.
Life in coastal cities in North America has been defined by two things in the 21st century: rising rents and rising sea levels. The Unidentified Floating Object–a mobile, modular, house-boat concept from Jet Capsule–is an answer to both problems. When the land is too expensive and/or underwater, why not just move out into the sea?
The covers came off the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage concept at the 2015 Concorso d’Elegance Villa d’Este over the weekend, and there’s much more to the lime green two-door than that oversized rear wing. There’s a smaller, roof-mounted spoiler, also lime green. Plus more swoops and curves than we can count. Most of those are lime green as well. Add in a racing-inspired interior that manages to make room for a luxuriant swath of hardwood on the dash and you’ve got a very striking concept fueled by some serious performance heritage.
