As expected, Kevin Durant achieved a career milestone against the Clippers on Wednesday night. With about two minutes remaining in the second quarter, KD sank a shot from the left wing to become the second-youngest player in NBA history to record 20,000 career points. The only player to ever reach the 20,000-point mark quicker than KD was LeBron James, who hit the mark back in 2013 while playing with the Heat.

Russell Westbrook re-upped with the Oklahoma City Thunder yesterday, redoing next year’s deal, guaranteeing 2017-18 and adding a third option year. He could still leave in the summer of ‘18 but, at least for now, he’s Oklahoma City’s favorite son. The mayor even declared it Russell Westbrook Day. It’s been almost a month now since Kevin Durant decided to leave the Thunder to sign with the Warriors, and Russell Westbrook is still yet to do an interview to talk about how he feels about KD leaving. It’s safe to say that he’s probably not real happy about it, but you would think the OKC star would have said something by now. He played with KD for almost a decade, so he must be feeling some type of way at the moment.
