While we are thrilled by the stunning speed demonstrated by the Lamborghini Huracan Performante in setting a new Nurburgring lap record for street cars, the tuners at North Carolina’s Underground Racing were gunning for an even bigger number, hitting 250.27 mph to set a new half-mile world record. Ask an Italian what ala means, and they’ll tell you, “wing.” Unless they work for Lamborghini, in which case, they’ll say it’s shorthand for Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva. In the case of the Huracán Performante, they’re both right.
Unlike the infamous Italian supercars, these bikes weren’t built for speed. But they sure strike a sporty silhouette. But beyond that, their nontraditional body offers a nice stable ride for urban pedalers.
