A Texas man was awarded $5.5 million late last month as part of his lawsuit against a restaurant, claiming the establishment overserved him alcohol, which contributed to the injuries he sustained during an altercation with a fellow patron later that night, Houston Chronicle reports.

Proud Boys Leader Arrested After Group Sued for ‘Racist Attack’ on Historically Black DC Church (UPDATE)
Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio, who’s 36, has been arrested on destruction of property charges by Metropolitan Police, the New York Times reports. He was also hit with additional charges for being in “Possession of High Capacity Feeding Device,” according to USA Today. News of Tarrio’s arrest comes on the heels of the far-right group being sued by Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal.
Woman Suing Usher Increases Lawsuit to $20 Million, Says She Tested Positive for Herpes
Following the news last week that Usher is being sued for $10 million by an anonymous woman arguing that the singer failed to mention that he has Herpes Simplex 2 before the two had sex is now demanding at least $20 million. New court documents obtained by TMZ claim that the female listed as Jane Doe was “devastated” to find out that she contracted the virus.
Police Accidentally Record Themselves Making Up Criminal Charges Against Protester
A Connecticut man, with help from the American Civil Liberties Union of Connecticut, is suing three state police troopers for allegedly fabricating charges against him and—among other things—taking his camera without a warrant. Video shows the three state troopers allegedly making up the charges in the Sept. 11, 2015 incident.
